Joyce's story

Joyce is 35 years old and married with two children. She sells eggs in her rural home to earn a living. She has been in the business for three years. Her customers are her neighbors and her friends who know about the business. She rents out her residential houses to earn enough money to support her family since the living costs are high.

Joyce has been saving her money with her group in Faulu Kenya called 'Precious' which enables her to access loans and the group guarantees. She is determined to improve her business now that she can access loans and this is her first loan. She has requested a loan of Kes 20,000 from Faulu Kenya to add stocks of eggs for sale. She hopes to venture into other businesses and improve her living standard in the future.
