A loan of $500 helped to buy a motorbike.

Van's story

Van C., 35, is married and resides with her husband and five children in Battambong Province, Cambodia, an area known for its good quality rice products. She produces Cambodian traditional cakes (usually cooked in bamboo) for a gross income of about USD 20 per day. Her husband is a security guard for a private company, earning an income of USD 2.5 per day to help cover the family expenses.

C. is requesting a loan of USD 500 to purchase a motorbike for her husband to commute to work. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to support the children’s study. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
