A loan of $300 helped to buy grain and grass for maintaining her business raising and selling small animals.

Luz Aurora's story

Luz is a 24 year old mother, who lives with her husband and their young son in El Lentejal, an agricultural region of the Pitipo district, in the province of Ferreñafe, known for having a large part of its population living in rural areas. It is located 45 minutes from the city of Chiclayo.

For five years she has been raising and selling small animals in her home. She raises hens, ducks, pigs, and a special breed of Peruvian guinea pigs, known for being quite large and with delicious meat. Usually she sells them to the businessmen who visit the region to buy and re-sell them in the wholesale market in the city of Chiclayo.

Luz tries to give her best in order to get ahead in her business, since her husband works as a farm worker and the income that he receives is not sufficient to clear their income. She hopes to improve the quality of animals that she raises so therefore she hopes to buy food such as grains and grass. In order to achieve her objetive, she needs to request a loan of 800 soles for the first time from Edpyme Alternativa

Luz is a happy and hard-working woman. Her greatest wish is to continue growing as a businesswoman in order to give her family a better quality of life. In the region where she lives, she is very well-respected. In the picture she shows us one of her Peruvian guinea pigs.
