A loan helped to purchase sheep in order to increase her livestock headcount.

Zhumagul's story

Zhumagul successfully repaid her earlier loan, she is grateful to the Kiva Foundation and to everybody who helped her with the financing. She is in the photograph with her son. Her farm today has 6 cows, 20 sheep, and 5 horses, as well as 0.5 hectares of land where she grows corn.

In order to further develop her farm, she once again applied to the bank "Bai-Tushum" for a loan in the amount of 60,000 som (KGS) to buy pedigreed sheep, with the goal of increasing her income from raising livestock. She plans to invest the proceeds from the loan into the further development of her farm and improve her family's welfare.
