A loan helped a non-profit provide affordable customized 3D prosthetic & adaptive devices to those in need of help.

Erica's story

Erica and Hamza’s Story: While planning to visit family in his native Morocco, Hamza learned of a young Moroccan girl who was in need of a prosthetic arm, but whose family could not afford to have one made for her. Hamza, an electromechanical engineer, joined with Erica, a supply-chain professional, to source, design, and fabricate a durable, low-cost prosthetic arm using off-the-shelf materials and 3D printing. The design was a success and, within just a few weeks, the pair was flooded with requests for help by others who needed prosthetic limbs or adaptive devices but could not afford them. However, they need your help to continue their mission of changing lives through the magic of plastics and 3D printing, which gives those with limb loss the opportunity to be superheroes.
