A loan of $5,650 helps a member to buy cement and sand, boosting her starting capital.

Aksanti Mungu Group's story

Deodate is a client at IMF Hekima and is a member of the banc villageois "Aksanti Mungu". She is 38 years old and is married with three children, all of whom go to school. Her husband trades welding equipment.

Deodate sells concrete blocks, a business she started ten years ago with seed capital from her husband. She later got involved with Hekima to support her business and, in conjunction with them, the business has gradually evolved. With this latest loan she is going to buy supplies of concrete and sand which will boost her initial capital. The major challenge she encounters in her activity is poor masonry.

She would like her children to all stay in school and be able to feed her family. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and their partners for the financial support they give to business owners unable to qualify for bank loans. One client has preferred to be photographed with her baby.
