A loan of $6,950 helps a member to reinforce fishing nets.

Alpha Group's story

Jolie is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the Alpha banque villageoise. She is married, thirty-two years old and the mother of three children who all attend school. Her husband is a public official.
She is a fisherwoman and fish seller. She started this business five years ago with start-up funds she received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima's program to support her business, as it developed gradually. With this new loan, she is going to reinforce fishing nets. The challenge of her business comes from waves in the lake.
She would like her children to go to school and to be able to feed her family. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to unbankable business owners.
