Median, a member of Karambi Tukore Group, is a hardworking, married woman with four children, all attending school. She is 37 years old and lives in Kamwenge, Uganda, where she is involved in farming as her main source of income. She also runs a retail shop of consumables, like sugar, soap, match boxes, and other things, for daily income. The retail shop still lacks capital in order for her to earn big from it, hence, she is requesting a loan facility to buy more items, like sugar, soap, cooking oil, and other things, for her retail shop.

Median dreams of owning a wholesale shop in a few years to come and its her desire to have her children educated. The couple works together for the betterment of the family, more so, improving their standard of living. However, she is faced with challenges of competition, debtors, and the price fluctuation of goods. She is hopeful that with group guarantorship, she will improve her capital by using borrowed funds and paying later as required.
