A loan of $350 helped maintaining her crops.

Odilia's story

Odilia is 45 years old, married, and has 6 children. She lives in the neighborhood of Pampahuasi, located on the fringes of the Peruvian jungle, where they have their own house.

She has always liked to differentiate herself from her competition through her price, quality and good service. She has dedicated 25 years to the cultivation of cacao and coffee. However, she isn’t content with what she has achieved, because she aspires to extend her plantations to other zones where she can sell her product from the same farm and minimize transportation expenses. Each day she wakes up with the same will as always, and together with her husband, they manage the lands and the respective care for the crops. In general, they work 12 hours and only rest on weekends to fully dedicate themselves to their children who are school-aged. During vacation time, they help them in the fields.

This is her first loan with MFP, for which she promises to be on time with her respective payments. In addition, she is thankful for her communal bank for the transparency and honesty with which it is developed. With the money requested, she will provide maintenance to her cultivation lands with the objective of improving her harvest in the future months.
