Norma Irene's story

Norma T. is 52 years old. She lives in an urban area of Guasmo, which was named after the type of tree Guazuma ulmifolia. Her house is made of cement and has all the basic services. She is a single mother, but all her children are already married.

Ten years ago, Norma built her house and set aside a space in the back for a small business. Due to lack of funds, she was not able to finish and left the space attached to the living room and put in a small store.

Norma now has a small store, where she works from 7:00AM until 8:00PM every day. She sells cereals, drinks, candies, sweets, etc. With the loan, she wants to buy rice, drinks, and cereals for her store to be able to stock it more fully.

In the future, she wants to build a better space for her store and have it more well stocked.
