Abahuza Group's story

Egide is a 39-year-old married father with two children and he is located in the southern part of the country. He sells drinks and beans. He has operated his business for the past 17 years and his business is well organized. He is a leader of Abahuza group and he is wearing a pink shirt in the picture. He works every day from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. While the work is tough and the hours are long, Egide is committed to his business so that his children may prosper.

He hopes to expand his business yet he lacks capital to do so. This is the reason why Egide has requested a Kiva loan via VisionFund Rwanda to purchase a large quantity of beans and soft drinks to sell to the community. With this loan, he will earn more profits which will allow him to keep reinvesting for better financial stability, as well as pay his children's school fees etc.
