A loan helped a member to buy seeds.

Ogoro Mwole Farmers Group A's story

Betty is 37years old and widowed with six children, four of whom attend school in Aber Uganda. She grows beans and soya while her husband runs a piggery for additional income.

With a need to expand her farm, Betty is requesting a loan from VisionFund Uganda to buy seeds. With these seeds, she will plant on a large scale and thus yield more farm outputs at harvest. She will then sell off the yields and, with the income, be able to pay school fees for all of her children.

Betty is challenged by pests and diseases. Hardworking and honest, she is grateful to Kiva for the financial support.
