Patrick's story

Patrick is requesting a loan to buy timber and iron sheets to roof his house. He is married, with 15 children, and lives in Bundibugyo, Uganda.

When he realized that cocoa trading could raise good money for his family's basic needs, he used his small savings from cocoa farming to start buying and selling cocoa to increase his household income. He can now afford to send eight children to school and maintain the welfare of his home.

Patrick dreams of expanding his business, though limited capital affects him. He hopes to persist in business to sell to his customers since the demand for cocoa is high.
