A loan helped to buy a pig and 150 kg of animal feed.

Tanjoniaina's story

Tanjoniaina is 29 years old and lives in a rural village with his wife and their two children. He works as a security officer and his wife takes care of the household.

To increase their income, he decided to start pig farming which his wife would manage. He joined Vahatra to take out loans. He wants to really progress and realise large projects in the future such as building a house for his family to live in.

He is asking for the lenders' support to buy a pig and 150 kg of feed for it. He plans to resell the animal at the local market after six months. Tanjoniaina already took out one loan which was helpful to him. He hopes to make enough profits from this loan to build savings.
