Isah's story

Isah B. is from the village of Naawan, Misamis Oriental. She is 37 years old. Isah is married and has three school-aged children. To make a living, Isah owns and operates a bakeshop. While not the only means of generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes from baking and selling bread in the local community. Isah has been engaged in her business for over six years and earns approximately 6,000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2010, Isah joined HSPFI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Isah is requesting a new loan of 5,000 PHP, which will be used to invest in expanding the business. This loan will be Isah's first loan from HSPFI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated to improve and expand her business.
