A loan of $1,200 helped the furnishings for a bakery.

Yoselin Virginia's story

Mrs. Yoselin is married and has 2 daughters. She does baking, selling the sweet pastries like cakes, candies, and empanadas (filled pastries) and distributing them to stores in the city and to schools. After some years she decided to open a store where she could display her products and also offer them to the general public. She hopes to be very successful, now that she has started her new business. This is a fulfillment of one of her dreams, and thanks to the institution, it has become reality. In the future we can take a picture of her in her new business.

She is very happy to have a loan from Kiva. She is hardworking and for many years has made cakes and pies. Her daughters help her in their free time from studying in the university. Another hope for Mrs Yoselin is to see her daughters become professionals. With the money from the loan she will buy tables, chairs, shelves, etc and also ingredients to make her cakes. She is very grateful to EMPRENDER and KIVA for the confidence they have shown her in the issuing of the loan.
