A loan helped to repair her house from the damages caused by the November's earthquake so her children will have secure living conditions.

Meli's story

Meli is a 40-year-old lady from Lezha city. She is married and the proud mother of three. To provide for her family she works as a cleaner in a kindergarten, while her husband works as a laborer in construction.

"During November's earthquake my house got damaged very badly. We were told by representatives of the government that they will take care of every damaged house but until now no one has come, not even to ask for the damages. I can not leave my children live in this condition anymore!" said Meli, desperately during the interview.

Meli is asking for the first time for Kiva's lenders support to repair her house from the damages caused by November's earthquake so her children will have secure living conditions.
