A loan of $725 helped purchase spare parts to increase her inventory.

Laxmi's story

Laxmi is 22 years old and lives in the home of her parents with her husband Ronald (age 25), who is a farmer, and their two young children.

Two years ago, Laxmi opened a store selling spare parts for cars and trucks. This type of product is unique in the area where she lives (in the central jungle). However, time has proven that hers is a good business because it has grown significantly. She now offers a variety of parts because she has regular customers who come to her whenever they need to fix a problem with their cars. Her work is peaceful because her business is located in her home, which also allows her to look after her children. Her business also generates good revenue because it is the only one of its kind in the area. Meanwhile her husband works as a fruit farmer while she devotes all of her time to her parts business. Despite her young age, Laxmi has many plans for the future, including expanding her business and offering a wider variety of parts.

This is her fourth loan with MFP. She is very grateful to everyone who made this loan possible so that she can continue working. Laxmi says her Communal Bank is one of the most organized groups. In addition, all the members are punctual when submitting their payments. She plans to invest the money she requested in the purchase of a large quantity of spare parts so that she can restock her business and offer better service to her customers.
