A loan of $550 helped purchase fruits plants & fertilizers; pay for labor to clear his fields.

Hugo's story

Hugo is 32 years old and lives in his own house with his wife Evy (age 28) and their two dependent children. Since he was a young man, Hugo has been engaged in agriculture. With the help of his wife, he grows citrus fruits, bananas, and other fruits that he harvests after months of constant work and vigilance. Hugo knows that if he provides adequate treatment to his crops, then he is able to increase his production and achieve a good harvest. He also says that he enjoys his work because it allows him to support his family and provide them a good life. As a hardworking man, Hugo does not grow tired of working honestly. In order to get ahead, he plans to diversify his fruit crops in greater quantity so that he can increase his production and generate more earnings.

This is his fourth loan with MFP. He is very grateful to everyone who made this loan possible so that he can continue working. Hugo also mentions that his Communal Bank works adequately because no one is behind with their payments. The funds he requested will be invested in the purchase of plants for his new crop, as well as fertilizers. He will also pay for labor to clear his fields.
