A loan of $375 helped buying a calf as well as sacks of fertilizer to grow alfalfa.

Agustina's story

Agustina is 62 years old. She lives with her husband in their own house. For the past 10 years, she has worked selling milk in her city's central market. Every morning when she goes to her sales stall, her customers are already waiting to buy the milk she offers. Her routine starts with the milking of her cows and then the process of separation to produce the milk that she sells. At the end of the day, she goes home to take care of the other animals she raises. Parallel to this, she also grows corn and potatoes, which she uses for her family's own consumption. She finds her work satisfying, and she plans to expand it by purchasing more animals. Her work also allows her to keep busy all the time and feel self-sufficient. This is her fifth loan with MFP, and she promises to be very responsible with her payments. She believes this support will be very useful for the progress of her business. She will use the loan she is requesting to invest in buying a calf to raise into a highly productive milk cow. She would also like to buy sacks of fertilizer to grow alfalfa, which she will use as feed for her animals.
