Genevive S. is the leader of the group of five borrowers called Trust. She is 39 years old, married and has four children who range in age from 7 to 20 years old. She could not continue her education through the 7th grade.
For 15 years, Genevive has been selling engine oil, kerosene, soaps and toothpaste at the Redlight market in Paynesville, Liberia.
She sells goods that are high in demand and talks to her customers in a nice manner, in order to encourage them to continue buying from her.
Genevive started selling with a little amount of cash. She now has an improved size of business at the Redlight market.
She plans to use her 8,000 Liberian dollar portion of this 39,000.00 Liberian dollar group loan to buy more engine oil, kerosene and soap. Her goal is to grow her business to a better size and to improve the living conditions of her family.
