A loan helped to furbish a shop and to buy stock of infant clothing and accessories.

Maram's story

Maram, age 27, lives with her husband (a builder) and three young children in the village of Jebal Muhaber, in east Jerusalem. She has been selling infants’ clothing from her house, but now wishes to set up shop, and to expand the range of baby and toddler clothes and accessories that she can offer. She has spotted a good site at reasonable rent in the neighboring village of Abu Tor. She sources her clothes locally, but wishes to investigate importing from Turkey and from China. She seeks funding for refurbishing the new shop, and for stock. She seeks to borrow NIS16,000 for this purpose, which will allow her to contribute to her young family’s income.
