A loan of $700 helped to purchase dozens of citrus plants.

Yolanda's story

Yolanda is 46 and married to Santiago, who is 47. Together, they have 4 children of whom one still lives with them. They own their home, which is made from rustic materials and has a base of tree leaves and lumber. Yolanda and her husband, with the hopes of always improving their harvests, dedicate a good part of their time to cultivating their crops of star fruit, bananas, avocado, and citrus fruits, planted on their lands. This couple enjoys clearing and keeping their land healthy and clean, which is how they’ve managed 20 years carrying out this activity. It has allowed them to get ahead and provided a good education for their children. In the future, they hope to make improvements to their home and install a food and candy store. This is her third credit with MFP, and she is enthusiastic about working with her communal group as it is comprised of good people who are conscious about their responsibilities. With the loan she requests, she will buy dozens of citrus plans and hire workers to help sow them.
