The Amanecer committtee was born thanks to the interest some women had in forming a committee and thus have the possibility of accessing credit. Many of them already have experience in committees, so based on that experience they formed one.

They undertake activities in such a way that they can carry out all the responsibilities that they take on as an organization. For example, the supportive help for those on the committee who go through hard times.

Each of the members manages a productive activity that generates income. Mrs. Celsa sells general beverages in a locale she has in her home. Her husband attends to the business and she enjoys the good profit this activity leaves her. That is why she wants to buy in greater quatities, and she is asking for the loan for that purpose.

All of the members of the committee thank the Fundación Paraguaya and the Kiva organization for the credit help that they offer.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
