A loan of $975 helped a member to purchase an electric sewing machine for sewing clothes.

Anwari's Group's story

Anwari is married to M. A. and resides in Lahore, Pakistan. Lahore is famous for its historical places and its Punjabi foods. Her house consists of two rooms in which she lives with her two kids: one son and one daughter, and her husband. Her son reads in 4th standard and her daughter reads in 5th standard. Her husband is a tailor by profession and runs his own tailoring shop in the main market. His earnings support his family.

Anwari is also a very hard working lady. She operates her own handbags sales business, which she purchases from different places of Lahore named (Ichra and Anarkali) and then sells them in the community. She does this work to share the financial burden with her husband.

Anwari has successfully repaid her first loan to Asasah (a microfinance insitutute in Pakistan). Now she is applying again for a loan to purchase an electric sewing machine to expand her husband’s tailoring business.
