A loan helped to buy women's clothing and cosmetics.

Blanca Nelly's story

Blanca Nelly G., 43, lives in an area of Bogotá called Suba which, thanks to its abundant green areas and level ground makes it a beautiful natural setting for residents and employees of industries, commerce and services that surround it.

Because Blanca Nelly has an 8-year-old son that depends on her, she works intensely as a catalogue cosmetics saleswoman; she also sells clothing, home appliances and perfumes independently. She learned this skill when she studied marketing and sales and she’s been in this line of work for 12 years after leaving work in a financial institution.
In order to increase her market presence, she is asking for a $2.000.000 loan to buy clothing and cosmetics so that she will have an up-to-date stock inventory. Her customers are, for the most part, employees of companies where she used to work, co-workers of her relatives and housewives who like to be fashionable.

Blanca has been associated with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo for the last 4 years; she has received three loans in this period of time. She appreciates the financing and business training she gets from the institution because, though them, she has acquired economic solvency to buy merchandise and not lose customers who require exact and opportune responses.

Her dream is to increase her sales in order to open her own shop and become economically stable so that she can offer her son a quality education leading to a professional degree.
