A loan helped to purchase more clothes to sell.

Diamond's story

Meet 25-year-old Diamond from Liberia. She is living together with her partner along with 2 children; their ages are three and 7 years. They are schooling and live at home. Diamond attended school until 10th grade. She is a hardworking business woman who sells men and women's clothes. She learned how to sell from her sister and her partner gave her some funds to start the business. She has no problem with her business.

She requested this loan from BRAC Liberia the Kiva field partner, to purchase more clothes to sell and grow her business. She likes her business because it keeps her busy. In the future, she would like to buy a land and build a house for her children.

Diamond says thanks and appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
