A loan helped to purchase clothing for his store.

Walter's story

Walter is a young, 21-year-old business owner. He is single with two children, and he is a merchant. As a result of the experience he acquired during three long years as a store employee, and being someone with very few financial resources, he managed to save a little money and open his own business two years ago. In fact, he had just a few pieces of clothing that he placed on the sidewalk of a central street. But, through his effort and dedication, he set up a space where he now offers his new clothing and footwear products.

He is requesting a loan from Fundenuse, with funds from Kiva, for the purchase of clothing merchandise. His dream is to have a large store in his own business location in order to offer more and better service to his customers. He also dreams that his two children will someday have their own homes and be able to study for a career.
