08-Karantaba Koto Group's story

This group of 16 women has been part of the Banc Villageois since its establishment in September 2013. All women live in the same village and share good relationships. Their main business is retail. They show remarkable energy to improve their standard of living.

Mrs. Maye, the group's featured borrower, is the one raising her hand in the photograph. She's 58 years old, married and the mother of ten children. She has three other children to support. She intends to use her new loan to buy detergent and soap to resell. The profits generated by the loan will be used to buy a bed for her bedroom.
