A loan of $1,050 helped buy a variety of vegetables.

Juana's story

Juana, age 59, lives alone with her only daughter in her own house. She has 23 years of experience selling vegetables. She takes her merchandise to the main commercial fairs, which are located in the rural areas of her location.

She leaves three times a week to make these trips. Her daughter goes with her when she leaves very early to buy the quantity of vegetables that she needs. She buys wholesale at the central market of the city. That allows her to have sufficient income, which helps her make progress in her business.

Later she hopes to set up her stall with other products and make her working capital grow. She will use the loan to buy a greater variety of vegetables to meet her customers’ demand.
