A loan helped a member to buy five bundles of second-hand clothing in bulk to strengthen her initial capital.

Byamungu Group's story

Mme Jeanette is a client of the MFI Hekima and presides over the solidarity group Byamungu. She is 62 years old, married, and the mother of seven children, all of whom attend school. Her partner is a teacher.

She sells second-hand clothing. She launched this business 25 years ago with start-up funds from her husband. Later, she became involved with the Hekima program to support her business. Over time, she has gradually evolved.

With this new loan, she will purchase five bundles of second-hand clothing in bulk, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge for her business is a shortage of customers.

She would like to build a permanent house. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to business owners who do not have access to traditional banking.

In this group: Jeanette, Salom, Huyguens, Pascal, Rabelais
