A loan of $850 helped to buy advance orders from her direct selling line and additonal inventory for her variety store.

Beatriz's story

Beatriz C., 55, is making sure that her family has enough provisions for their daily needs. Married to Eduardo C., a driver, they are blessed with two children. Beatriz makes sure that she helps her husband earn so that their family can have a better life. She has been managing her own variety store while also having a direct-selling business for quite some now.

Beatriz has been a regular member of the Center for Community Transformation* (CCT) for more than a year now. She regularly attends their weekly fellowship meetings and pays her weekly dues consistently. Because of her good repayment performance with her previous loans, she has been able to borrow quite a few times in CCT’s Cooperative. She is consistent in paying her dues because she used the money she borrowed to expand and improve her direct-selling business.

To ensure the success of her business, she is applying for a 37,000 PHP loan. This amount will be used as a source of added capital for her expanding business by buying advance orders for her direct-selling line.

She dreams that her business will continue to grow. She also dreams to have her own outlet of the popular brands that she sells.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay Micro Finance loans.
