A loan of $200 helped for maintaining farm land.

Pedro's story

Pedro is 51 years old, married, and has 6 grown children. They all live together in their home, which is located in the beautiful Ayacucho jungle. In the past he sold bread on the streets of his community, but as he was not having much success, he decided to begin a new business farming cocoa and citrus fruits, which has benefited him financially. He is usually on his land from Monday to Saturday from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm. His family will occasionally help, but he generally has laborers who help with the harvest of cocoa and citrus fruits. In the near future he wants to try his luck opening a bakery, which he considers a good business since bread is needed for family breakfasts. This is his first loan with MFP, and he pledges to make the payments. He is happy for the support given to him from his peers in the community bank. He will use the loan for maintaining his farm plot to improve production.
