A loan of $1,000 helped buy farm supplies.

Enrique's story

Enrique C. C. is 58 years old, married, and has two children. He lives in the San Miguel canton in the Bolívar province.

He is a member of La Palmera (The Palm Tree) communal bank which is an hour and a half from San Miguel canton. There are 16 members in total. It is a farming community with a few who raise livestock.

Enrique works in farming to increase the family income. His main crop is corn, and he also raises pigs. He sells his produce at the San Miguel market on Thursdays.

In his free time he likes to go walking with his family, he also really enjoys it when the neighbors get together for a party or to play sport.

The member is asking for a loan to buy farm supplies, for fertilizers and manure above all. His goal is to have a good economic business for the family and to purchase a car for work. The challenges that he faces are climate problems and diseases that affect the crops.
