A loan helped to pay tuition fees for her children so that they can gain knowledge and brighten their future.

Carolyne's story

Carolyne is a mother of three children living in Kenyenya, a town surrounded by prime agricultural lands which favor large-scale grain farming, dairy and horticultural farming. Carolyne earns her livelihood through dairy and crop farming. She also has a personal business (a retail shop) to make ends meet.

Carolyne is a go-getter and has a great desire to succeed in life. Of all the activities in which she involves herself, dairy farming is closest to her heart. She enjoys waking up every morning to milk her cows and feed them with fodder that has high nutrient value. Carolyne wants to educate her children and will use this loan to pay tuition. She believes that the knowledge and skills her children will get from school will help them have a brighter future.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
