A loan of $725 helped to repair his stall due to the damages caused by the rainfall.

Wilmer Hulmester's story

Wilmer is 23 years old; he is single and lives in his parents’ house located in the Progresiva La Ciudad area, an urban area, close to the city of Chiclayo, a city well-known in the north for its business industry.

Wilmer has worked for over 6 years selling vegetables and now sells in the Los Pathos market, a relatively new market 3 years old, used by merchants that originally sold their products in the Moshoqueque market (a wholesale market in the city) and later each got grounds that now use to sell their products. The market is known for its variety of vegetables available for sale at low prices, which is valued by the vegetable retailers that go to the market to buy their goods.

Wilmer wishes to improve the infrastructure of his stall since it has deteriorated because of the rain that has occurred during the summer months. He is in need of a loan of 2000 nuevos soles from Edpyme Alternativa (Kiva's field partner) that will help him achieve his goal.

Wilmer has worked from a very young age to get ahead; his dream is to keep growing as a businessman to keep making progress and to help his family to have a better quality of life. He has already worked with our institution and has shown to be punctual and responsible with his payments.
