Sambalagnon Group's story

Sidiki is standing among the members of his group, holding the rope of the ox. He is 33 years old, married and the father of three children ages 2 to 7, including one attending school. His wife stays home to takes care of the household.
He has been raising cattle for 11 years. He buys his animals at the weekly markets in his village.
Sidiki can expect to earn a profit of 75 000 to 80 000 CFA francs per animal. Selling his cattle, he is able to meet his family's needs in food, medical expenses as well as his children's schooling costs. At this point, he owns three animals which he maintains with lots of veterinary care. He has a good reputation in his village.
Sidiki would like to obtain additional loans to increase his livestock business.
