A loan of $725 helped cultivation of pea and corn crops.

Presila's story

Presila is 43 years old. A mother of a family, she lives with her husband in the Lives sector, a rural area in the district of Unión Agua Blanca of San Miguel province, in the Cajamarca region. It is located in the mountainous part of the country, four hours away from the city of Chiclayo, capital of the Lambayeque region.

Since she was very young, Presila has been working in agriculture and cattle farming. She and her husband grow different crops and sell the milk produced by their animals. The income from these activities has supported them since they got married and allowed them to raise their children who are already independent and have formed families of their own.

The area where Presila and her husband live is known for the cultivation of various grains and cereals. This season, they have sown corn and peas; they hope that the crops will result in enough income to allow them to make ends meet over the following months. Presila would like weed out and fertilize the crops that she and her husband have sown. This is why she approached Edpyme Alternativa for the first time to seek a loan of 2000 soles.

Presila is a very hard-working woman who is devoted to her family. Her greatest wish is to bring a better quality of life to her family and make improvements to her home, which is currently made from rustic materials.
