A loan helped to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk vending business so that in the future, she can build a biodigester that will help her produce clean energy.

Catherine's story

Catherine is a mother of three children living in Bomet, a town whose surroundings have vast agricultural potential with numerous small farms and also vast agricultural enterprises. She is a mixed farmer, who has been in this business for the last ten years, enabling her to make enormous progress in her family. Catherine has managed to take care of her children with her income from selling milk. She has always wanted to take care of another dairy cow, but a lack of capital has prevented her from doing so.

She is now seeking a loan to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk vending business. The cow she intends to buy is a breed that produces between 13 and 19 liters of milk a day. With this cow, she will produce more milk, which will translate into more income. Demand for milk in the Bomet area is high, but the supply is low. So, through this loan, Catherine is going to have more milk to comfortably meet demand.

Catherine's vision is to keep even more dairy cows so that she will be able to build a biodigester, which will help her to save more money otherwise spent on energy. Be inspired this month and show her love by clicking the lend button!
