Bayarsaihan's story

Bayarsaihan is 49 years old and lives with his wife and three children in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. He and his family live together in a ger, the Mongolian nomadic tent.

Currently, Bayarsaihan operates a carpentry business in his town. He manufactures a variety of wooden products, but specializes in the wooden furniture and parts for gers. He has been operating his business since 2005, and the business is supported by the entire family and they have built a stable operation. In his business, he makes wooden products with his oldest son and his wife does small jobs such as polishing the furniture.

Originally, he worked as a carpenter in a wooden furniture workshop which belonged to another person between 1990 and 2005 where he gained valuable experience. Bayarsaihan has many customers because of his good service and high quality products. He has been planning to expand and stabilize his business.

Bayarsaihan is a very hardworking person and his family is very important to him. He says, “I would like to build a winter house for my family after I finish paying the university tuition fees for my daughter until her graduation.” He is requesting a 900,000 tugrug loan to purchase timber to build a workplace for his business.
