A loan of $1,350 helped a member purchase school supplies for resale.

Amigas Por Siempre Group's story

Ms. Sisley is a high school teacher. She is a single mother of two children, so she has many expenses to cover. Because of this, she went looking for a way to make additional income. So, for the last year she has sold seasonal merchandise. Her best customers are her colleagues at work and she is currently selling back-to-school products. It is going very well and she has sold a lot of school supplies. She is preparing to sell Mother's Day items next. She is able to earn a good profit because she buys directly from the factory at low prices. With her earnings, she has been able to make improvements to her home and to proviD. for her children's education.

In the future, Ms. Sisley plans to open a bookstore in her own home. She is the treasurer of the “AMIGAS POR SIEMPRE” (“Friends Forever”) group. They are newly-formed, but have a lot of spirit. With her share of the loan payout she will purchase more school supplies to fill orders that are still pending.
