A loan of $525 helped to buy stock items for her store.

Esther Clotilde's story

Esther, 33, is single and lives with her parents in Insculas, a rural area of Olmos, Lambayeque province which is two hours from the city of Chiclayo.

She has had a small grocery in her home for over three years now. The business grew out of her need to have additional income to help support the family because her husband works as a field hand and his earnings are insufficient to cover family expenses.

She wants to expand her business buying more groceries to attract more customers so that her income will increase. This has led her to approach Edpyme Alternativa to request a 1500 new sol loan to help her reach this goal.

Esther is quite hard-working and she’s always looking to make progress and provide for the wellbeing of her loved ones. Her greatest wish is to expand her business and become better known in the area.

She has collaborated in the past with our institution and has demonstrated punctuality and responsibility with her repayment obligations.
