A loan of $600 helped purchase of zinc, purlins, beams and solder in order to fix the kitchen roof, which is in poor condition.

Yochira Patricia's story

Yochira, age 31, is single and lives with her parents in the Villa Reconciliación neighborhood. With the support of her parents, she succeeded in completing her studies. For three years she has worked in a business as a project accountant. Her earnings now cover her expenses, and she gives a portion of her money to her mother.

She has also begun to make necessary improvements to their house. The kitchen roof is in a bad state. The iron grating over the window is held in place only with glue, and she wants to anchor it to the wall for greater security against crime. She will buy corrugated roofing material, purlins, beams and solder in order to begin the work. Her plan is to obtain a Master’s degree so that she can get a better job which allows her to advance herself and earn a better income.
