A loan of $700 helped application of fertilizer and water to his grove of passion fruit.

Domingo's story

Domingo is a fifty-year-old father who lives with his wife and children in the San Francisco de Senquelo area, a rural area in the Olmos district, Lambayeque province, located two hours from the city of Chiclayo. He has cultivated passion fruit for more than seven years. Throughout the Olmos area various associations are dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of this fruit. The growers form large groves of adjoining properites. These associations allow the growers to cultivate a better quality product and to sell their product in the market for a good price. Domingo wants to apply fertilizer and to water his grove to ensure a good harvest; therefore, he feels for the first time the need to request a loan of $700 from Edpyme Alternativa. The proceeds will help him maintain his grove. He is very responsible and dedicated to his family. His great desire is to enable his children to study, so that they have a bright future. His neighbors and acquaintances trust him and hold him in high esteem.
