Kurbonbi's story

Kurbonbi is a 56-year-old married woman from the Yavan region of Tajikistan. She has rented a small plot of land where she plants wheat every year. Though, she works hard and remains busy with her farming work, Kurbonbi also wants to start the animal husbandry business. She is planning to buy and resell livestock, which will bring in a good source of income and provide for all her children.

Kurbonbi has applied for a loan as she lacks the capital required for establishing the new business. She will only purchase livestock with the loan money, because she has already build a barn and stocked the feed for the animals.
