A loan of $425 helped buy grain cereals.

Bibata's story

Mrs. Bibata S. is married and the mother of one child (a girl). She was born 30 September 1981 in Kaï, a rural community in the Loulouni sub-prefecture, part of the Kadiolo Prefecture, in the 3rd administrative region of Mali. She lives in a monogamous family with her husband and her child in Kaï.

She is a nurse’s aide in Kaï and has also retailed grain cereals for the past five years. Her past experience in the trading of grain cereals ensures her current success in this activity.

This is her first collaboration with the Soro Yiriwaso MFI, and she intends to maintain the relationhip to satisfy her numerous customers whose requests are steadily increasing.

With her loan she will buy two tons of corn. She gets her supplies from Kaï and the surrounding area, and also from the Loulouni market on market fair days. She sells wholesale and retail (cash or credit) to both men and women customers.

She expects to reach a monthly income of 60,000 FCFA which for the most part will be used to increase her working capital. Her ambition is to become a wholesaler and own a large warehouse.
