Benard's Group's story

Benard is 50 years old and the father of three children. He has been a farmer for more than twenty years and is known as a very trustworthy person. Even though he is the only person featured in the photo, he represents a group of nine farmers in the Teso District of Kenya.

Benard started working alongside the One Acre Fund in 2012 because he wanted to make more farmer friends in his community. Since then, he has seen his life improve, especially in the sense that he has had a healthier life due to better nutrition. This year he decided to represent this group because he wanted to help more farmers.

Benard’s group will receive farming supplies to plant a total of 5.75 acres of land.

In this group: Benard, Make, Michal , Michael, Norah, Respa , Abraham , Rabecca, Rosemary
