Zara Liduvina's story

The Ensueños (Dreams) Community Bank is located in the city of Azogues. Its cold climate is favorable to cultivating potatoes, beans and some types of fruits and vegetables. It is also known for the beauty of its temples and is a historic center where people can appreciate colonial and modern art, not to mention that its people are always friendly to tourists. In this community bank we find Zara C., who at only 19 years old is married and has a 3-month old baby. She lives in the home of her in-laws since she doesn't have her own home. Her husband works at a car wash, and she works at a beauty parlor thanks to studying for three years at a local school. She works from 8:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. and still fulfills her household duties, cares for her baby and also takes time to sell cosmetic products from the Yanbal, Esika and Lébel product lines. She tells us that she has seven years of work experience, which has allowed her to have a fixed clientele. This is her third loan cycle with the community bank, which she joined at the invitation of a friend who is also an active member. With the money she is requesting, she plans to purchase dye, curlers and permanent solution, as well as perfumes, creams, nail polish, treatments and more cosmetic products from Yanbal, Esika and Lébel for women and men. Her biggest dream is to have her own place where she can live comfortably.
