Yamina De La Nube's story

Yamina P. is a member of the village bank Comunal Esueños ("Shared Dreams") located in the community of Policía in the city of Azogues, which has a cold climate and is known for its churches and the beauty the city holds. Its historical center is a mix of colonial and modern, its people are both agreeable yet fighters, such as our members who fight every day to better the lives of their families.

Yamina is 43 years old and has been divorced for 13 years to help her husband obtain legal documents in another country. With him she has a daughter who is 25 years old, a lawyer, and who with her husband and two children lives in her mothers house, sharing not only the roof but the household expenses.

Yamina has been selling clothes and makeup by catalog for the past three years and also spends time taking care of her two grandchildren and doing housework. She told us that she has her regular customers and she was able to start this job thanks to loans obtained in three cycles with Espoir foundation with the encouragement of her friends within the village bank. With this new loan she would like to buy pants, shirts, blouses, bags, underwear, perfume, lotions, shades, mascara, and other products to offer her clients a better range of clothes and makeup.
Her dream is in expand her business and acquire new lines of products.
