Svetlana's story

The 64-year-old Svetlana is married with one son. She has a higher education, is familiar with agricultural techniques, and knows how to use resources for their intended purpose. She has been raising livestock since 1980, and this is her family's main source of income. Thanks to her hard work, Svetlana's farm presently consists of two cows, a horse, and 54 sheep.

In order to develop her business further, Svetlana has turned to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 70,000 som (KGS) to buy livestock, her goal in this being to increase her livestock-rearing income. Svetlana is planning to put the income generated by the loan toward growing her business yet further, and buying furniture for her home and school supplies for her son.
